The deanery of the church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste, also known as the "cure of Wavre", was built between 1743 and 1745 by the Abbey of Affligem. The building, made of brick and white stone from Gobertange, is pierced by a carriage door leading to a courtyard paved with stones from La Roche (Brabant). In 1786, the parish was given an outbuilding. At that time, it was occupied by the parish priest and two vicars of the parish. The complex was restored in 1999.
The site was previously occupied by other buildings. The latter, built by the priory of Basse-Wavre around 1540, did not always have curial functions. Indeed, the buildings housed a humanities college during the seventeenth century.
