The Käthe Kollwitz tower is without any doubt one of the most beautiful sights of Koekelare. In the drying kiln of a renovated brewery, graphic works of art by Käthe Kollwitz are on permanent display. This exceptional woman (a native of Berlin) is considered to be one of Germany's most important expressionist artists. Her best-known work of sculpture - the Grieving Parents - is to be found in the German cemetery at Vladslo, where her son Peter is buried.
Open from Tuuesday to Friday, from 9.30 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 17.30. In July and August also open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, from 14.00 to 17.30.
Entrance fee: €2,5
