Once upon a time, numerous windmills must have stood in this polder landscape. Now the Kalfmolen (calf mill), by the Graaf Jansdijk is one of the few that remains. The mill was built in the 17th century and finally stopped turning in 1926. In 1980, however, this monument had new life breathed into it and ever since wheat has been ground again during the Mill Festival in September. During the summer weekends you can visit the mill when it is working.
