On the occasion of the 30th edition of the Folk festival in 2004, the organization donated the statue of the Piper to the inhabitants of Dranouter. It is a realization of Johan Lemenu (concept and artistic execution) and Alex Verrecas (technical elaboration). The 5 meter high statue represents a folk musician with a bagpipe, the instrument par excellence for folk music. The Piper is made of polyester with a patina of bronze. An iron column with the inscription of the festival logo bears the unstable torso. The spring allows the piper to move. That symbolizes the festival and the music that does not stand still. The image is movable.
