The Green Frog
The green frog is usually 4 to 5 cm in size. The male frogs have two white bulging croak bladders behind the corners of their mouths. The green frog is found in ponds. In winter, he goes into burrows in the ground or in shelters. In April it is the mating season. Then the green frogs go into the water. The males croaked all summer. The food of the green frogs are worms and flies and sometimes larger animals like themselves, such as mice and amphibians. You can recognize the green frog by:
-its grass green color and stain on the back
-a narrow longitudinal stripe across the back
-dark stripes on the thighs
There are three types of green frogs: the pool frog, the lake frog and the mongrel frog.

The Green Frog
The green frog is about 4 to 5 cm long and large. The green frog lives in rivers and canals. There are three species of green frogs, the pool frog, the lake frog and the mongrel frog. All species of green frog form call choirs of sometimes tens to hundreds of males together during the mating season. The call of the pool frog is quite similar to that of the mongrel frog, but is softer and the number of pulses follow each other faster so that about 30 to 45 tones per second are produced. There are always 'lake frog-like' accents in the call.
