The 'Motte of Castelberg' is the hill that we see north of 'het Vinne', on which in the Middle Ages there was a raised wooden defensive castle to see the enemy coming from afar. Now it is mainly used in winter to slide down the slope with the sledge :-). On the flank we find, among other things, the sickle coral mushroom, a cherished neighbour of Zoutleeuw. Other beautiful and special grassland mushrooms are also here, such as the parrot mushroom and the snow mushroom.
