The Kleine Nete is a tributary of the Nete in the basin of the Scheldt.
The river originates from many rain-fed streams in the area between Arendonk, Retie and Mol-Postel in the Belgian Campine, including the so-called Zeven Neten: the Looiendse Nete, the Kleine Nete, the Zwarte Nete, the Werbeekse Nete, the Plas Nete, the Witte Nete and the Nonnen Neetje.
The Kleine Nete contains many fish that are very rare in Flanders. From Lier it flows together with the Grote Nete and forms the Nete or the Beneden Nete.
Its main tributaries are the Molenbeek, the Aa and the Wamp.
The Kleine Nete flows through the following municipalities: Retie, Kasterlee, Geel, Olen, Herentals, Herenthout, Vorselaar, Grobbendonk, Zandhoven and Nijlen.
