St. Peter's Church is a church in the Sint-Pietersaalststraat in Ghent, Belgium. The parish church is located in the Sint-Pieters-Aalst district, south of and outside the historic city centre, in the Miljoenenkwartier
The current city district around the church used to be a rural area south of the city center. Since the Middle Ages, this area between the Lys and the Scheldt has belonged to St. Peter's Abbey, the St. Peter's Village. The whole area was part of the parish of the Church of Our Lady near the abbey. At the end of the Ancien Régime, the ecclesiastical possessions were abolished and the area was now part of the city of Ghent. The large parish of Our Lady of St. Peter continued to exist.
