Oosthofpark: In 2000, the Oosthofpark was opened to the public. A site with a rich history. According to the Archeological-Historical Society of the Spaenhiers, the municipality of Koekelare originated here. Excavations have confirmed this. In 1881-1882, the noble family Piers de Raveschoot built a castle on this site, which was unfortunately demolished in 1948-1949. During the construction of the Oosthofpark, the original design of the castle park was respected, albeit with the incorporation of some Eastern elements, including the sculpture 'Kinaree'.
