The botanical garden of Liège is the botanical garden of the city of Liège, in Belgium. Located not far from the city center, its park offers a green setting for the residents of the neighborhood. There are some rare species of trees from all continents.
If the first trees of this botanical garden were planted in 1841, the greenhouses and the Institute of Botany and Pharmacy were not inaugurated until 1883. These are part of the eight Trasenster Institutes built during this time. The buildings were designed by the architect Lambert Noppius. Of neoclassical style and undeniable architectural quality, they have been used by researchers and professors from the University of Liège for a hundred years. These two disciplines migrated to the Sart-Tilman campus between 1970 and 1990.
