The J.F. Kennedy Bridge is a box girder bridge over the Meuse River in the Belgian city of Liège that connects the Longdoz district with the city center. The bridge is named after John F. Kennedy, the President of the United States who was assassinated in 1963.
The first bridge was built in 1837, but it collapsed only 5 months later. A second bridge was constructed between 1841 and 1843. This last bridge was spared during World War I but was blown up by the Belgian army at the beginning of World War II. A new temporary bridge was opened in 1946.
