The former convent of the Récollets consisted of a set of buildings erected at the end of the 17th century. These are now divided into different properties, including the cloister (numbers 2 and 4) and a convent building (numbers 9-13).
At numbers 2 and 4 on the street are the remains of the cloister. This cloister, attached to the north side of the Saint-Nicolas church, consists of four wings: the eastern wing (located at no. 4) is the only one to retain an old volume. Dated 1683, its exterior face is lit by cross windows on the ground floor and by mullioned windows on the upper floor. The gable facing the street is pierced by a portal, restored by the architect Jean Francotte in 1979, which comes from the former fortified castle of Gaillarmont. The facade facing the courtyard has on the ground floor windows with tuffeau frames, featuring rounded lintels and fluted jambs. This type of window lights the ground floor of the three other wings, whose modern upper floors, added in 1990 by the ARTerre office, form a youth hostel.
Classified as a monument on May 15, 1992.
