Kasteel Libermé is a castle located in the place Kettenis, which is part of the Belgian municipality of Eupen, situated on Aachener Straße.
The castle was first mentioned in 1334, at which time it was a fief of the Chapter of Our Lady in Aachen. In 1346, a certain Arnold von Libermé was mentioned as the owner. Until the mid-15th century, the castle belonged to this family, after which it had several owners. A certain Hermann von Batenburg renovated the castle starting in 1534 and added a forecourt and a farm. In 1684, the castle was destroyed by French troops and rebuilt by the De Halley family. In 1750, the castle was affected by fire. It was then rebuilt by the brothers De Royer. The drawbridge was replaced by a stone bridge during this reconstruction. From 1918, Anna Maria Theresia Suermond had the castle renovated again. It was then raised and a mansard roof was added. In the 1960s, a restaurant was established in the castle, and from 1996 some tax-related businesses moved in, while chamber music concerts have also been performed since then.
