The Pater Damian Secondary School in Eupen is a Christian-humanistic and gymnasium-oriented secondary school in the northern part of the German-speaking Community of Belgium. Since its founding in 1995, the school has carried the name of the canonized order priest Damian de Veuster.
The PDS is a member of the Association of Pater Damian Schools in Eupen, which also includes the Pater Damian Special School and the Pater Damian Primary School. Each school belonging to this association is under the Catholic management called Episcopal Schools of the German-speaking Community. As of early March 2013, the school had 1,150 students and 127 staff members. In the year 2000, Karl-Heinz Pluymen became the principal of PDS. He has been supported since the beginning of the 2012/2013 school year by teacher Monika Mertens as deputy director. On October 1, 2016, Elmar Schlabertz succeeded Principal Pluymen. The Pater Damian Secondary School offers grades one to six and is a full-day school with teaching units of 50 minutes each.
