The motte of Lamine is a motte in Lamine in the Belgian province of Liège in the municipality of Remicourt. It is located in the northeastern part of this place, a hundred meters northeast of the square. It is an artificial hill of earth with a height of 12 meters and a circumference of 185 meters, with still visible moats, probably built in the 11th century, on which a fortified wooden or stone keep stood, a fortified tower that was in a sense the ancestor of the fortified castle. As with most mottes, there was a lower courtyard at this "upper yard" which is still present as the "Ferme de la Tombe."
