The Sauertal cycle path is a bike path along the German-Luxembourg border of the Sûre and connects the mouth of the Moselle near Wasserbillig to the Luxembourg city of Ettelbruck, at the confluence of the Alzette and the Sûre. The riverside cycle path crosses wetlands, vineyard landscapes, and picturesque villages. Up to Echternacherbrück, there is a bike path on both banks. On the German side, it is marked as the Sauertal cycle path, and on the Luxembourg side as "Piste-Cyclable-de-la-Basse-Sûr." From Echternacherbrück, the cycle path crosses Luxembourg territory and leaves the border with the Sûre near Wallendorf. This is where the Our flows into the Sûre, forming the German-Luxembourg border. The route has a mostly flat course and is therefore also suitable for amateur cyclists.
