This wooden facade house was built between 1450 and 1500 and survived six wars. The last renovation dates from the early 1970s. The most authentic elements survived that renovation, such as the two wooden beams in the living room, which bear the weight of the entire first floor. It is incredible that those beams have lasted for 540 years.
