The outer banks of the house pond are still clearly visible in the relief and vegetation (reed margins), and the disappearance of the 'spoon pond' in the 19th century was likely the result of gradual siltation. In the micro-relief, the original banks can still be clearly detected. The 'spoon pond' will only disappear from the cadastral map in 1970. The end of the historical 'spoon handle' was likely utilized to create a small pond again at a villa built in 1975. The remainder of the former spoon pond is currently covered with alder coppice, occasionally with 'spare alders' on old stumps of common ash (with trunk circumferences of up to 186 cm). After the pond silted up, a rich, streamside forest type developed, which seamlessly transitions into the wooded slopes of the Margijsbos.
