Kerselarenlaan 55 was the home of (baby) Jacques Brel between 1929 and 1931. The Brel family only stayed there for two years due to financial problems. Father Brel was a partner at the cardboard factory 'Vanneste & Brel' and the stock market problems of the time also affected this company.
