Indeed, Antwerp has its own airport. The 28-year-old architect Stanislas Jasinski designed the airport building that was completed in 1929. The architecture adhered to the principles of modernism: a structure of reinforced concrete, white-plastered facades, and ribbon windows. Next to it is the Stampe and Vertongen Museum, where you can admire old biplanes on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
