Inderdaad, Antwerpen heeft een eigen luchthaven. De 28-jarige architect Stanislas Jasinski maakte het ontwerp voor het luchthavengebouw dat in 1929 voltooid werd. De architectuur beantwoordde aan de regels van het modernisme: een constructie van gewapend beton, witbepleisterde gevels en bandramen. Ernaast ligt Museum Stampe en Vertongen, waar je op zaterdag- en zondagnamiddag onder meer oude tweedekkers kan bewonderen.
