Around 1500 a church was built here in Kempen Gothic. In 1890 this church was replaced by a neo-Gothic church designed by Pieter Jozef Taeymans. The Gothic tower was preserved. Parts of the Gothic predecessor can also be recognized in the choir.
The tower has four sections and a constricted spire. The entrance door is framed by white stone and iron sandstone from the diest area. The three upper sections are decorated with spars and pointed arch friezes. A pentagonal stair tower can be found on the southeast corner of the tower.
