Originally, a French geometric garden surrounded the Wolvendael castle. In 1909, the then owner Baron Janssens had the estate significantly expanded and redesigned into a typical English landscape park. He made maximum use of the natural slopes of the Ukkelbeek valley. The park is intersected by paths named after artists who in some way are related to the municipality of Ukkel. On an abundance of green signs, you can read, among others, the names of the painters John Cluysenaar, Laura Turner, and Henri Rodoit, as well as the cartoonists Hergé, Bob de Moor, and Edgar Pierre Jacobs.
