Originalmente, un jardín francés y geométrico rodeaba el castillo de Wolvendael. En 1909, el entonces propietario, el barón Janssens, amplió y remodeló el dominio de forma significativa hasta convertirlo en un típico parque paisajístico inglés. Para ello, aprovechó al máximo las pendientes naturales del valle de Ukkelbeek. El parque está atravesado por caminos llamados así por artistas que de alguna manera tienen relación con el municipio de Ukkel. En una abundancia de letreros verdes se pueden leer, entre otros, los nombres de los pintores John Cluysenaar, Laura Turner y Henri Rodoit, y de los dibujantes de cómics Hergé, Bob de Moor y Edgar Pierre Jacobs.
