The Tervuren Arboretum: This is a geographical arboretum (and not a systematic one, where trees are classified by family and genus): the trees are classified by their origin. It is also a forest arboretum: the focus is not on individual trees, but on the collective development of species in a stand. The French speak of silvetum for this type of creation and the English of forest garden. More than a collection of trees, this is a collection of forests.
