In the Dorpsstraat of Sint-Laureins you can't look next to the monumental Sint-Laurentiuskerk. Some walls of the original Gothic church (1350-1400) still remain. Over the centuries, the church was repeatedly rebuilt, including after the beggars' revolt in the 17th century. A little further is the town hall, built more than a century ago in neo-Gothic style. In front of the town hall are Reynaert and the ducks. He towers over them, but does them no harm. He prefers to look for his victims by the chickens. At the library there is an owl on a granite column and next to him sits Reynaert reading a book.
