The castle was built in 1892 by the De Keyser family to replace their older castle (which has disappeared) and was probably built in the first half of the 19th century, at the same time as the construction of the preserved serpentine pond in the park. Refurbished brick and bluestone castle in neo-Flemish Renaissance style. Two storeys high, more or less rectangular castle on the basement. Steep, truncated hipped roof (slates) with intersecting gable roofs above the various projecting risalites. High all-round bluestone plinth and marking corner chains in rustica. Right. windows with natural stone sills and frames. A wide staircase with balustrade in front of the door bay with Renaissance frame; two gable stones with inscription: "Anno / 1892" between the broken pediments above the door. Wide window bay to the left of the entrance is risalite and raised with a tower section under a steep spire with iron fence crowning. Front façade on the left corner ending in a slender octagonal stair tower with small spire. Signature ornamental anchors, stepped skylights and dormers. Against the rear façade: a corner porch with iron railings, profiled basket arches on consoles and slender columns and a balustrade around the terrace above.
