The Wounded Eagle is a commemorative monument erected on the site of the battlefield of Waterloo, in Belgium, in memory of the "Last Square" of Napoleon's troops. The monument is the work of Parisian architect Henri-Paul Nénot, from the Gauthier & Cie quarry in Soignies, and the Parisian founder Siot. The sculpture is by French painter and sculptor Jean-Léon Gérôme, who died a few months before the inauguration of the monument.
