The brewery was started in December 2000 by hobby brewer Alain Brootcoorens. In addition to its own beers, many beers are brewed for third parties, each according to original recipes, no label beers. The brewing installation consists of converted milk kettles of 600 liters so that brews of 450 liters can be made each time. Across from the brewery, the brewer has planted 300 hop plants for personal use. Since 2005, the Fête du Houblon and Val de Sambre has been organized annually in early September on the occasion of the hop harvest.
