Valerius De Saedeleer was a landscape painter par excellence; He painted landscapes and trees, especially winter and the leafless tree. But he didn't just paint the landscape; He created his own panorama, in which certain elements return again and again, each time in a different balanced composition. In many of his works we find recognizable elements; for example, the white house - the former inn "Belle Vue" - occurs several times (current Onderbossenaarstraat 32).
