Hof te Corbeek

The so-called "Hof te Corbeek" used to be the property of the Carthusians in Herne. Closed farmhouse with brick buildings under gable roofs, grouped around the paved courtyard and dating from the end of the 18th and 19th centuries.

The round-arched entrance gate with mullions of sandstone and arched stones alternating between sandstone and brick, incorporated into the volume of the barn, also gives access to the yard.
Spacious farmhouse with seven bays of two storeys and two single-storey bays, covered with a gable roof (mechanical tiles) and crowned with a bell rider. Rectangular wall openings, on the ground floor with bluestone frames; built in 1833 indicated on the door lintel; The upper floor was rebuilt after a fire in 1912. Brick stable wing under gable roof (tiles), in a gable stone of the side gable dated "anno 1773". The façade of the yard is rhythmed by bluestone doors under a relieving arch and by stable windows with sandstone posts but bluestone sills. Opposite, a more recent stable from the 19th century. Spacious longitudinal barn, finished with wickerwork and top piece. Beautiful whole, repointed with cement.
