The common maple (Acer pseudoplatanus) was introduced to our regions. It is a fairly tall tree (up to 30 meters high) with a dense crown. The leaves are 10 to 15 cm in size and usually have five lobes. The leaves are darker at the top, paler and slightly hairy at the bottom along the main veins. The fruits have two wings that allow them to fly like helicopters.
In summer and autumn, you will often find large, round, black spots on the leaves. They are caused by a fungus, a fungus. Because of its similarities with ink, this infestation is also called the inkblot disease.
