The trimmed hedgerow along the Gaverbosdreef mainly consists of hawthorn, with or without natural enrichment of ash, two-stemmed hawthorn, yew, holly, hornbeam, elm, and elder. The hedge is intended to prevent trespassing onto the property.
On the military topographic map from 1960, it can be seen that the hedge served to enclose the orchard that existed at the time. The orchard has since disappeared, but the hedge has been retained, although it may have been rejuvenated in the meantime.
