It symbolizes the obscure actions of those who chose armed resistance in the years 1943-1944 and contributed to the fear, irritation, and demoralization of the German troops through relentless intimidation. The resistance fighters wore the green beret on their heads during operations, continuing the tradition of the Ardennes Hunters. This camp is the only one that was restored after the war and has remained as a testimony of the Maquis. Two sleeping barracks, a shelter for the kitchen, a dining room, a cellar for provisions, a stone altar, and a small esplanade for taking up arms with the mast where the flag was hoisted every day, that is the setting. The only thing missing is the tents that were set up near the sleeping quarters.
