Detached building located in the middle of the former cemetery that originally covered the entire area between the Verbertstraat (west), Jozef Van Craenstraat (south), approximately the current Schotenvaart (east), and the Venstraat (north). In 1882 the actual cemetery around the church was closed with latticework; The low wall with entrance gate and iron gate opposite the entrance of the church reminds of this. In 1928, the cemetery southeast of Cordula Square was set up and the open space around the church was planted. On the south side a white stone Sacred Heart statue was placed by L. Vleeshouwers, behind the choir a sculpture group for the fallen of the First World War by J. Strijmans.
