History:
The Beukenhof domain is 2.5 ha in size. In 1973 it was purchased by the municipality and opened to the public. In the middle of the park stands a neo-Renaissance castle built in 1876. The builder of this castle was Charles (Karel) Vlieghe. he was mayor of Vichte from 1879 to 1882. In addition to the castle house there are also:
- porter's and a gardener's house
- spacious warehouses
- horse stables

Now these are used by Vichtse youth movement.
