Description

The Vichte ecological park consists of a butterfly garden, the native forest and an area that is still a nature extension area. This area is a collaboration between Natuurpunt Krekel and the
municipality of Anzegem. They take care of the maintenance. The Flemish region made a substantial contribution to its realisation. The butterfly garden includes an area of butterfly-friendly
shrubs and trees, a flower meadow with upright greenery and a bush, where butterflies and insects can lay their eggs. The adjacent birth forest is a collaboration with the family association. Every year, an oak tree is planted for all the boys and a lime tree for all the girls born in that year.
