Henri Vander Stokken moved from Bogaarden to Brussels, where he had his own exchange office. It didn't do him any harm. In 1907 he died with an immeasurable fortune in his bank account, but with no children to leave it to. After his death, he spoke up two more times. He left his fortune for the construction of a retirement home, which also bears his name. With the rest of the money, this benefactor built an imposing mausoleum that contrasts sharply with the graves of the simple Peping cemetery. His name will never be forgotten.
