Description

The Dorpsdijk runs through a large part of the Opstal valley. This is a historical remnant of the dike that was built in the 13th century to protect the villages from the water. It is one of the oldest dikes that have been preserved in Flanders. The dike is about 4m higher than the former polders and winds from Viswater along the Reigersbos in the direction of the Scheldt.
