Description

In the 1960s, the area of the Bospolder and the Ekers swamp was largely reclaimed for port expansion. The area remained unused for years, so that a spontaneous nature development gradually started. In 2001, parts of the land were excavated and a nature conservation project was started. Now it is an area with open water features, marsh and reed vegetation.
