The current buildings of the town hall have known various functions: weaving school, home for the elderly and orphans, municipal school, and gendarmerie. It is certain that from 1850 the municipal council meetings took place in this building and that the administration was already housed there in 1858.
The neo-Gothic appearance we see today dates back to 1905. Only the original facade was preserved during the restoration in 1999, but the building received a contemporary extension on the north side. In the entrance hall, there is an imposing natural stone staircase with a railing and a bear holding the municipal coat of arms. In the former council chamber, wall paintings depict some notable events from local history.
