Description

Next to the Roman Archaeological Museum you will find the Abbey Park. The structure refers to the abbey buildings that used to stand here: the chapter house, the monastery church, the cloister,... The basement of the romantic turret (kissing is allowed!), which once served first as a gazebo and later as a water reservoir, was an ice cellar. There is also a lot to experience. Walk on a reconstruction of a Roman road, fight a battle in a Roman fortress or try some Roman games! Children will not be bored here. The park also received a Flemish prize for child-friendliness!
