Description

In this oldest house in Machelen, artist Martin Wallaert welcomes you every Sunday from 14h to 18h. It owes its name to the fact that it housed a bakery and small grocery store. The shop was only a few square meters in size and was separated from the living room by a thin wall. In this wall there was a small window through which the baker's wife could see when someone came into the store. Presumably this was soon associated with a confessional.
