Tower in Marzée with view over the valley of the Viroin. Nearby there is also a campingplace. From the tower you have a wonderful panorama over Najauge, the Cité Maroc and the French Ardennes. It is a bit weird to look out over a small cité in this environment, but the fact that in this piece of France there was in the 19th and 20th century still a flourishing metal industry, explains everything. Many workers from the Viroin Valley also crossed the French border to work in the metal factories.
"La Grande Traversée de la Forêt du Pays de Chimay" follows the particularly beautiful creek path up between twisted oak trees. This hill is quite sharp here, Belgium is situated on the lower left and France on the lower right. The forest is compacted somewhat and slightly lower on the right there is a line of old landmarkers. They were placed to mark the separation between the Principality of Liège and France and today they form the border between Belgium and France.
