Update November 2017 (original route no longer allowed at this location):

South Ecoduct no longer allowed for people (Art. 176h of the Forest Code of 19 December 1854).
More northern gates on the railway line are also no longer allowed for people (feedback Railway Police), even though these gates are open...

So cross this railway line via the slightly more northerly Van Kerm-dreef towards the centre of Watermael-Boitsfort, but immediately take a right over the railway line, after which you can pick up the railway line on the north side at the gates of the railway line!
This way you avoid the busy and dangerous (without bicycle and pedestrian paths) Chaussée de la Hulpe.
