Description

In the back, neo-Flemish Renaissance mansion, now hotel, dated "Anno 1915" in facing stone. Irregularly constructed double house of two storeys under complex roofing (ridge parallel to the street, mechanical tiles and slates) with dormers.
Combination of baking and sandstone moulding and stepped gables on cemented and bluestone plinth, finished with wooden cornice on modillons and decorative wrought iron top ornaments. Ornamental anchors. Central stair tower with iron wind vane with initials JvdV. Rectangular, segmental and basket-arched wall openings, plus arched fields of colorful faience (Belgian colors) and/or relief arches with green glazed brick. Original woodwork, including beautiful wooden panel door. Street fences between brick pillars with sandstone top piece.
