Country inn, according to local sources already known as "Mother Stiene" since 1782; the café name would refer to the then innkeeper of this rest stop, Christine De Wulf from Armentières, who previously served as quartermaster in Napoleon's army. Located on a corner plot at a crossroads, behind a row of four pollarded linden trees, opposite Neutenstraat. Low wide house of six bays and one building depth, structurally possibly dating back to the second half of the 18th century; adjoining number 29, namely under a continuous artificial slate gable roof. Anchored whitewashed brick façade on a cement-plastered base with imitation stone joints. Arched wall openings. Front door in brown-painted brick framing with ears. Roof cornice with brick friezes. Inside preserved beam ceiling.
