Description

Former model farm of the Belgian Farmers' Union, now equipped for farm tourism. Establishment in 1927 of a model farm under the direction of engineer J. Steps after purchasing a deforested part of the Buggenhoutbos. Original agricultural domain of 145 ha of which a third pasture with approximately 300 boars and 40 cows, maintained by only 15 employees thanks to extensive automation. The company included an electric well, a grain mill, a boiling kettle and a small dairy. During the summer on Sundays the farm could be visited.
