Rural road with kinked course, located in the east of the municipality, runs from the Rijksweg in the south to the border with Ingelmunster in the north. The street is continued in Ingelmunster under the name "Hemelrijkstraat". Oldest mention in 1527 as "Manpade strate" or footpath. The street runs almost parallel to the Heirweg, which was part of the old medieval connection between Bruges and Kortrijk. Was probably used by the locals as an alternative route to bypass traffic along the busier Heirweg. It is possible that the Manpadstraat forms the first bed of the Kortrijk-Bruges heirweg, the current Heirweg would have been created later. The northern part was sometimes also called "Ampstratien", cf. map interest book Tollenaers (1732): "Het Manpad ofte Ampstratien". On a map of the lordship of Hoogendoorne (1747) described as "Chemin du d'Hemeryck". "'t Hemelryck" was a hamlet, lordship and inn that was located around the southern part of the Manpadstraat and is already mentioned in 1502. A remnant was the farm "den Leeuw", located at the intersection of the Hulstemolenstraat and the Heirweg. In 1847 (Atlas der Buurtwegen) the street is called "Manputstraet", referring to the "Manneput", a piece of land located along the Heirweg.
In the Manpadstraat was formerly the interest house of the lordship "ten Hooghendoorne", a back loan from the lordship of Willecomme in Tielt, whose lands extended, among other things, north of the Rozebeeksestraat along the west side of the street.
In the first decade of the 20th century, the street was paved with gravel.
According to some maps from 18th-century interest books (the Ferraris map does not give an accurate representation for this area), the street already has a few farms in that period, including no. 23 (cf. further). Also at the level of the cluster houses with nos. 13 to 21 there are already buildings in the 18th century, cf. map lordship Hoogendoorne (1747) and Cleen Diestvelt (1778). On the east side of the street during the 18th and 19th (Popp map) centuries, a few single volumes were present north of the Rozebeeksestraat.
During the first quarter of the 20th century, the basic buildings were supplemented by a few simple houses, most of which were now extensively renovated. In the second half of the 20th century, some detached houses in the garden were added.
