This watermill, located in the Sint-Jansstraat, was for a long time owned by the Chapter of Hoksem who leased it in 1685. The last miller was Albert Gellens (1916 - 1981). Since his death, the mill had been idle.
The mill is currently privately owned and owned by a volunteer miller. He completely restored the mill and now uses it to generate his own green energy.
The mill can only be viewed from the outside. By appointment and at certain fixed times, the miller will be happy to show you around the mill. The fixed dates will be announced via the mill's Facebook page.
